1st day in Tarapoto

It was a very very long and boring flight, could not sleep much as it was a day flight. The plane was so old, I would say at least 20 years old. Anyway, this did not ruin our mood....

A mother with her little girl took our window seats and bull shit that they had the other side window seat on the same row, she said it was too much for the little girl (not that little, I guess around 6 years old) to move. Anyway, we went around only to find out that they were occupied. The mother and daughter 's seats were actually in the middle, if they thought that they would have our sympathy, was a mistake! Ces nearly threw them out of the plane.

Arrived in Lima at 6.30pm, went to the airport hotel for the night. 10am flight to Tarapoto the next morning. Neck pain again, lucky I brought along my private healer.

It was a two hours flight, nice view.

It took only 45 mins drive from the Tarapoto airport to the resort. It has been raining for few weeks, everywhere with landslide, quite scary. If it happens in Switzerland, they would close the road, anyway we arrived safe.

Very happy with the resort, have a real toilet (i.e. can through dirty tissue in toilet), 24 hours electricity, no insects in the room...... Just limited wifi access and no cell phone connection.

Had a good sleep and woke up at 6 in the morning. We did some yoga and did a 4 hours hike. The weather was ok in the first 2 hours but was pouring rain afterward - all wet. But was good exercise.

The guide showed us his house and apparently he is very proud of what he had achieved.

They are a happy family, not the "happy family" style defined in our dictionary, but they are happy. We gave them the left over food from lunch and they were so happy. Why we need so much money, a big house and iPhone, if that simple life can make someone happy? Don't know however I definitely need my iPhone.
